We just received this Cannondale Synapse Ultegra Disc into stock and we’re really impressed. The Synapse has been an awesome frame ever since it came out a few years ago, adding more comfort to a racy frame while compromising virtually no speed, but what really sells us this time around is how well the new disc brakes have been incorporated.
In the pics below you can see how well the front hydraulic brake hose is routed through the front fork. In the rear, though it’s a little hard to make out in the next pic, you might be able to see how an extra little caliper adapter brings the brake adjustment outboard of the frame’s tubes even though the caliper is inboard, making the brake really easy to set up.
The final pic has nothing to do with the brakes – it’s just an admiring shot of the sculpted seat tube where it meets the bottom bracket. Apparently the design is supposed to maintain lateral stiffness while offering a more compliant ride, but honestly we just think it looks really nice.
With a full Ultegra component group there’s really nothing on this bike that isn’t great. For $3950 plus taxes all this greatness can be yours. The one pictured here is a 56 cm.
