As hard as it might be to imagine right now the first sanctioned bike race of the season is coming up in just a little over a month. You’ll need a Manitoba Cycling Association race license to contest the event, but if you’re like most other racers you’re probably inclined to wait until a day or two before race weekend to go online and make the purchase.
While we don’t want to discourage anyone from signing up, even if it’s at the last minute, we do want to encourage early sign up if possible. Not only is it easier on the MCA and race organizers to process your registration earlier than the weekend of the race, it also allows you time to receive your race license and numbers in advance instead of having to sort it all out just before your race starts. You’re better served using that time to find your missing helmet and left shoe anyway.
A full adult license is $120. A Citizen license, for 1st time racers, is just $65.
