Bike Feature: Cannondale Flash 29er 1

Check out this sweet new arrival. We usually try to get pics of the actual product in the shop but the pic taken of this bike didn’t turn out well so we’ve grabbed a screen shot from the manufacturer’s site, but rest assured that we’ve actually got one in-house.

The 29er craze is in full swing and Cannondale is now offering a full, comprehensive line up of 29er hardtails in aluminum and carbon fibre. Pictured above is the Flash 29er 1, a lightweight aluminum hardtail with a carbon fibre Lefty front shock, Shimano XT componenets including hydraulic discs and an excellent set of Stan’s XTR Arch rims ready to run with or without tubes.

We especially like the ball burnished ‘nude’ aluminim finish of the frame but the truth is there’s nothing not to like about this bike. While you could spend a lot more and get slightly more performance this bike is probably spec’d around the point of diminishing return. Cannondale hasn’t skimped on any of the bits, evening throwing in things like a Thompson Elite stem and DT Swiss Revolution spokes. At $3500 this bike isn’t cheep, but it is a really good deal for an uncomprimising race or epic ride-ready rig.

Come and check it out, along with other new arrivals, today!
