Happyland Cross #3

This course is a brand new venue for cyclocross in Manitoba – features a very compact route with a nice, happy flow.

For extra happiness, it has a skateboard bowl, pea gravel run, and a “wall of shame” run-up.

For those not necessarily interested in racing, this is a great course for spectators – you can see the whole course at the same time, there is a playground for the kiddies, and there’s a Tim Horton across the street.

Bring your cowbells and cheer (or jeer) the riders on!

Sunday Oct 5 : Woodhaven 'Cross 2008

Sunday, October 5th

This year we are offering a Day License for Non-MCA riders.

Join in on the fun at Woodhaven Park Community Club, 200 Glendale. The course offers a mix of fast sections, sand patches, short climbs, mud sections, and of course, barriers! Approximate Race Times:

9:30 Kids (under 13) 15 minutes plus 1 lap
10:00 "B" Category 30 minutes plus 2 laps
11:30 "A" Category 60 minutes plus 2 laps

Citizen (non-MCA racer) will race "B" Category

Registration closes 30 minutes prior to your race.
$10 entry fee prior to October 2nd, $15 thereafter.
Under 13 race for $5
Draw Prizes are provided by Woodcock Cycle.

Sunday, Oct 19: Southern Cross

Last year was the inaugural year for Southern Cross and it was one of the best organized races, and one of the best courses, of the season. It's a very friendly event for newbies, so think about making the trip south to join in on the fun this year. Bourkevale Cyclocross Event '08

Close out the official cyclocross season with a party...this event features a live band and chili and hot drinks following the races.

New for this year the race course includes Bourkevale and Bruce Parks, in St. James a few blocks west of Polo Park, just off of Portage Ave.

Cross-labs - Cyclocross Training

With cyclocross season right around the corner the Manitoba Union of Cyclocross Riders (MUCR) is hosting a couple of Cross-lab cyclocross training sessions a week. Click here to check out some of the details as well as times and places. Everyone with an interest in cyclocross (and an interest in experiencing a little pain - though that's somewhat redundant) is welcome at the Cross-labs regardless of experience or ability.
